We use this information exclusively to create and manage your ClarVal account, secure your access to our stock valuation tools, and provide you with essential service-related communications.
Data Sharing and Protection
ClarVal acts as the sole custodian of the data retrieved via Google Sign-In. We do not use your Google data for advertising purposes, nor do we sell or rent this information to third parties. Your data is never shared outside of ClarVal except when explicitly required to maintain platform security, provide core functionality, or comply with lawful requests.
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
ClarVal's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Deletion
You maintain full control over your data. You may request the complete deletion of your ClarVal account and all associated Google-provided data at any time by contacting us at clarval-support@googlegroups.com.
Clarity Chrome/Edge Extension
The Clarity browser extension identifies stock ticker symbols (e.g., $AAPL) on the web pages you visit to provide instant financial valuations.
- Data Accessed: The extension reads the visible text content of the web pages you visit locally within your browser to detect ticker symbol patterns.
- Data Transmitted: When a ticker symbol is detected and you interact with it (hover), the extension transmits only that specific ticker symbol to our secure API (
https://clarity-v2-production.up.railway.app) to fetch the corresponding valuation data. - Data Storage: We do not collect, store, or sell any information about your browsing history, the websites you visit, or the content of those pages. All text processing and symbol identification occur locally on your device.
Email-Based Authentication
For users who choose to register or log in using their email address directly, we collect only the information provided during the sign-up process, typically your email address.
- Purpose: We use your email address exclusively to manage your ClarVal account, provide secure access to our valuation tools, and send essential service-related communications.
- Data Protection: Your email address is stored securely and is never shared, sold, or rented to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
